Right now the largest house on Lake Murray is located at 10 Leitner Point Road in Irmo, SC. This monster lakefront home is known as Brantley Manor. Located on a four acre private peninsula, this property features both an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, boat house, a pier, a covered dock, boat ramp, and of course, a greenhouse, and of course, the biggest house on Lake Murray.
How Big is the Largest House on Lake Murray?
Brantley Manor is big but exactly how big is the biggest house on Lake Murray? Labeling Brantley Manor as a large house is a bit of an understatement. With over 16,000 square feet of conditioned space, Brantley Manor is by far the biggest house on Lake Murray. The home features six bedrooms and nine and a half bathrooms. I guess you can say there is enough room for guests at this house. The crazy thing is that not too long ago, there was a home on the property that was even larger. Before the home that currently stands on the property was built, there was another monster home that was said to be around 20,000 square feet. This was the largest home to ever be built on Lake Murray. However, the home sold to new owners who decided to demolish the dated home and rebuild their own Lake Murray mansion.
What is The Most Expensive House on Lake Murray?
With all the talk about this huge mansion on Lake Murray, you are probably wondering how much it costs. This is where real estate experts have had disagreements. The property was valued at $10 million in 2003. This of course was before the original house was demolished. With the new and improved home on the property many would argue that the home and property is worth well over $10 million. Zillow has estimated that the property is worth just $1.5 million.
